Contributions and Waivers
Contribution: 80% government subsidy, 20% personal contribution
Cash burden rate of 20% (e.g., if support is up to 1,600,000 KRW for a patent application, the out-of-pocket payment is about 320,000 KRW)
Exemption conditions:
IP Startup Zone Training Upon completion, the individual contribution is fully waived.
※ Fees paid to the Korean Intellectual Property Office such as government fees are not included in the support fund and must be borne by the individual.
How to Apply and Period
Support limits: Patent application fee up to 1,700,000 KRW (80% government subsidy, 20% personal contribution)
