WHDA Attorney Sung-Hoon Kim Visits Pine IP Firm’s Pangyo Office

On November 5, 2026, Sung-Hoon Kim of WHDA, LLP, a U.S. intellectual property law firm, visited Pine IP Firm’s Pangyo office.

During his trip to Korea, Mr. Kim visited Pine IP Firm and met with Jaeyeol Jung, Principal Patent Attorney. Having previously corresponded by email, they took the opportunity to meet in person and exchange views.

Mr. Kim is a partner at WHDA, where he handles U.S. patent application drafting, filing and prosecution in the electrical and mechanical arts. His practice spans biomedical imaging, circuits and signal processing, communications, optics and other technologies. He also advises on patentability, infringement and freedom to operate (FTO), as well as patent licensing agreements.

Before practicing law, Mr. Kim worked as a research engineer at LG Electronics. He represented LG Electronics at the DVD Forum and the Blu-ray Disc Association and participated in the standardization of BDXL, a next-generation Blu-ray disc format.
